Alex Hoffman (she/her) is a Ph.D. candidate in Yale University’s Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology Department.
Before working at Yale, she received a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering and a B.A. in Computer Science from Duke University. Her work currently aims to apply her engineering skillset to plant molecular biology, specifically, the molecular controls of plants’ seasonal predictive mechanisms.
Alex’s goal is to develop tools that will be useful for adaptation of crops to rapidly changing seasonal climate conditions and therefore aims to help protect global food security.
