Solving human-caused environmental disruption depends on human ingenuity. Through conversations and combined expertise, radical thinking and organization, learning new things and taking action, we can make a difference. Explore opportunities for Yale-centered teams to accelerate research, scholarship, and impact.
The fund accelerates exploration, experimentation, development, and implementation of:
1) Substantial reductions or removals of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere;
2) Protections to human health from a rapidly changing global climate;
3) Improvements in environmental economic models, environmental policy innovation, and environmental justice outcomes.
Projects emphasizing engineering, prototyping, and proof of concept work are a priority. The fund supports work on the roots of planetary challenges and ways to address them, including business, financial, and policy tools. This may include the deployment, commercialization, or scale-up of a research idea.
