As Yale Planetary Solutions embarks on creating a Vision 2050 plan that articulates the long-term strategic direction and the enabling pathways for the university’s climate and sustainability efforts, it is increasingly evident that a coordinated approach with our partners in the City of New Haven and the State of Connecticut will yield synergistic benefits across economic, environmental, and social systems. We have the potential to do so much more together than we can achieve alone.

This planning process is intended to evoke hope and optimism, while harnessing the creativity and inspiration of our partners and stakeholders across scopes and scales. Following this kick-off, YPS will facilitate a series of listening sessions and launch a feedback website to collect the ideas, ambitions, dreams, and aspirations of the community broadly so that they can be considered for this visioning effort.
